Palm Treo 700p: não é um dispositivo MTP (erro do syslog): Tempo limite de HotSync do Jpilot

O telefone é antigo pelos padrões de hoje, mas faz o que eu preciso e eu gosto. Dois ou três upgrades do Ubuntu atrás, o JPilot deixou de ser capaz de sincronizar com o meu telefone. Eu tinha acesso limitado à internet, e minha pesquisa revelou artigos dizendo que ela foi descontinuada por estar desatualizada e com uso mínimo.

Agora tenho algum tempo para pesquisar e encontrei muitos documentos sobre como fazê-lo funcionar em uma versão mais antiga e todos os diferentes trabalhos que ocorreram ao longo dos anos e consegui chegar até esse ponto. Eu preciso de ajuda.

Usando todos os documentos de ajuda e tópicos de discussão, reuni essas etapas e as joguei em um script (mais fácil para testar os resultados).

No JPilot, quando você clica no hotsync, ele informa:

 Press the HotSync button now

E fica indefinidamente ...

Eu clico no botão "hotsync" no telefone e, eventualmente, acaba com o erro: "A conexão entre o computador de mão e a área de trabalho não pôde ser estabelecida. Verifique sua configuração e tente novamente."

É o Palm v 2.5, o JPilot 1.8.1.2

Meu melhor palpite (total adivinhação neste ponto), já que eu sou instável sobre como a conexão entre o Dispositivo 5: usb 2-2: (189, 132) @ / dev / bus / usb / 002 se conecta ao / dev / ttyUSB0 ou / dev / ttyUSB1. Não parece haver nenhuma conexão e não tenho certeza de como fazer isso. Eu estou sentindo falta de algo, provavelmente óbvio para alguém que não está estrelando isso a maior parte do dia. Qualquer ajuda que me faça avançar novamente é muito apreciada!

oh, e eu atualizei os arquivos MTP (usb-modeswitch, usb-modeswitch-data) e verifiquei que ftdi_sio é atual, apenas no caso de estar causando o problema.

Eu não tenho um treo, mas tenho sincronizado minha palma regularmente em versões LTS nos últimos 5 anos.

Eu tenho que te dizer, porém, a sincronização parou de funcionar durante a semana passada, e eu tenho puxado meu cabelo para fora do porquê. Mas acabei de fazer outra atualização e a sincronização está funcionando novamente de repente. Não sei se é parte do seu problema, mas force uma atualização hoje, se puder.

Aqui estão minhas verificações e etapas para sincronizar. Talvez algo aqui ajude.

  • Peça ao root para adicionar você ao grupo dialout . Então você precisa fazer logout e logar novamente. Como usuário normal, digite este comando para ver a quais grupos você pertence:

    grupos

  • Certifique-se de que visor esteja carregado. Você pode verificar como não-root digitando isso no terminal:

    modprobe visor 2>/dev/null ; echo $?  # you want to see a "0"
    
  • Verifique se o pacote de link do piloto está presente. como não raiz:

    test -e /usr/bin/pilot-xfer ; echo $?  # again, you want to see a "0"
    
  • Conecte o dispositivo via USB. Eu costumo ligá-lo, desligá-lo, ligá-lo novamente em uma segunda vez e ajustar um sinal sonoro (Zire 72). O próximo comando tem que acontecer dentro de 80 segundos:

    pilot-xfer --port usb: --list #connect and list databases, mostly harmless 
    

Aqui você está usando o link-piloto (que o jpilot também usa) para listar seus bancos de dados. Você precisará pressionar o botão de hotsync no seu dispositivo também.

Se tudo isso funcionou, então o problema provavelmente será a configuração do jpilot.
