Eu matei meu HDD

Tenho alguns problemas com a minha unidade USB 3.0 externa com HDD de 1 TB. Eu tinha formatado de forma errada: eu escrevi / dev / sdb em vez de / dev / sdb1 e agora não tenho capacidade de usar esta unidade.

fdisk /dev/sdb
fdisk: unable to read /dev/sdb: Input/output error

Último sábado eu usei o comando dd para escrever o dispositivo sdb com zeros. Hoje o processo foi finalizado (meu segundo PC executa esse comando por uma semana). Mas eu achei uma coisa interessante com dd. Se eu definir count = 1, vejo a seguir:

bs=512 - Input/Output error
bs=1024 - Input/Output error
bs=4096 - Okay!

Mas tudo o que tento não teve sucesso. O sfdisk também diz que ele tem erro de IO.

O HDD está conectado ao SATA sem adaptador USB.

O que eu fiz ...

  1. removi todas as partições usando o gparted
  2. Eu criei uma nova tabela de partições, mas gparted creashed
  3. eu recriou partições usando o fdisk
  4. Algo aconteceu na minha cabeça e eu decidi preencher o dispositivo com zeros usando o dd
  5. Quando iniciei o dd e calculei quantos dias eu preciso concluir o processo, pressionei Ctrl + C e ... Depois disso, o fdisk diz que o bloco 0 é ilegível / não-regravável

Eu tentei o sfdisk, espere até o dd preencher todo o disco e muitos outros ...

Se 4k setores puderem ser gravados e o HDD rodar bem, isso pode significar que este é um HDD nativo de 4k (às vezes chamado de avançado formato ) sem a possibilidade de emular setores de 512 bytes. Eu ainda não vi esses discos. Cada drive que eu usei poderia emular 512 setores, ele rodou um pouco mais devagar, devido ao acesso desalinhado.

Você precisa verificar com dd if=/dev/sdb of=/dev/null bs=1m se o HDD começaria a ler e não abortar instantaneamente ( 1m é múltiplo de 4k). Se o comando dd funcionar bem, então parece que é uma unidade de 4k. Se você quiser acessar esse HDD, precisará de ferramentas que sejam capazes de alinhar os acessos aos setores de 4k.

Pelo que parece, eu acho que o disco está morto, morrendo (ou foi defeituoso desde o começo, talvez). A formatação do dispositivo em vez da partição não deve ser capaz de fazer isso, aconteceu comigo algumas vezes também, sem nenhum dano ao dispositivo (ao contrário dos dados ...:)

Eu tenho um disco semelhante, 2TB USB3 Seagate externo, vou postar minha saída smartctl para comparação. No momento, eu tentaria executar o autoteste estendido (usando o gui GSmartControl ou o smartctl. Leva tempo, para o meu drive por volta das 6 horas, o seu deve ser mais ou menos a metade desse tempo).

IMHOAFAIK, é um erro de hw e o disco está acabado, receio, mas mesmo assim eu faria o autoteste offline estendido. Ainda está na garantia, por acaso?
