Eu fui instalar o DeSmuME (Gtk) (Nintendo Ds Emulator) e eu encontrei uma mensagem de erro.
$ sudo apt-get install desmume

Depois de termos discutido no chat, aqui está a solução:
Instale a ferramenta aptitude
sudo apt-get install aptitude
Inicie a instalação novamente com
sudo aptitude install desmume
Ofereceu várias soluções possíveis, escolha uma proposta adequada. Aceite uma solução com Y ou veja outra com N
