Eu instalei recentemente o Linux Mint no meu Dell Inspiron 3551 e tudo funciona bem, exceto o adaptador de rede WiFi. Eu não tenho uma porta Ethernet no meu laptop e tenho que confiar muito em WiFi. Agora eu tentei instalar o driver e depois de usar o comando 'lspci' ele mostra que o adaptador de rede para WiFi está presente. No entanto, 'lshw' mostra que 'este dispositivo não foi reivindicado'. Como reivindico este dispositivo? Ou melhor ... como faço para iniciar meu adaptador WiFi?

O módulo do kernel (ath9k) ou o firmware requerido pela placa wifi está faltando. Um kernel bastante recente deve ter este módulo com suporte para sua placa wifi.
modinfo ath9k mostrará se o kernel pode fornecer informações sobre este módulo.
find /lib -name ath9k.ko nos mostra se o módulo está em qualquer lugar no disco.
