Ferramentas VMware instaladas mas não funcionando

Eu instalei com sucesso VMwareTools-10.0.5-3228253.tar.gz na versão de lançamento do Kali Linux 2016.1 usando este guia:

  1. coloque VMwareTools-10.0.5-3228253.tar.gz em uma pasta na área de trabalho chamada "novo"
  2. em um terminal, execute este git clone https://github.com/rasa/vmware-tools- patches.git
  3. copie o conteúdo da pasta vmware-tools-patches na pasta "novo" na área de trabalho
  4. abra um terminal na pasta "new" e execute este comando ./untar-and-patch-and-compile.sh
  5. depois de terminar no mesmo terminal, execute este ./compile.sh
  6. extraia VMwareTools-10.0.5-3228253.tar.gz para outra pasta e abra um terminal nessa pasta e execute ./vmware-install.pl
  7. reinicie a VM

antes, executo apt-get update && apt-get upgrade -y para ter certeza de que tudo está atualizado e instalei os cabeçalhos usando apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r) . Eu tentei muito tempo instalando-o e após a primeira instalação tive que desinstalá-lo primeiro, a fim de reinstalá-lo, mas eu não acho que isso pode causar esse problema, não tenho certeza embora. Não consigo copiar nenhum arquivo de / para o host do Windows 10 para o Kali Linux VM usando arrastar & não pode copiar / colar textos, etc.

UPDATE a saída quando eu corro apt-get install open-vm-tools , ainda não fez nenhuma diferença.

se você tiver open-vm-tools installed, remova-o primeiro e tente:

sudo apt-get install libfuse-dev
sudo apt-get install open-vm-tools-desktop fuse

isso me fez funcionar, usando kali

user@user:~$ uname -r
4.6.0-kali1-amd64
user@user:~$ uname -a
Linux mrRobot 4.6.0-kali1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.6.4-1kali1 (2016-07-21) x86_64 GNU/Linux

O Kali Linux 2.0 é uma versão baseada no Debian 8.0. A VMWare recomenda o uso de open-vm-tools para o Debian 8.0.

Instale as ferramentas de VM aberta

  1. Adicione a seguinte linha ao arquivo /etc/apt/sources.list. deb link jessie main contrib
  2. Execute os comandos: $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get instala open-vm-tools

  3. Adicione a seguinte linha ao arquivo /etc/apt/sources.list. deb link jessie main contrib

  4. Execute os comandos: $ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get instala open-vm-tools
