Iniciando um instalador de bin no modo gráfico

Estou tentando instalar este software, mas depois que eu execute os comandos habituais:

chmod +x gvSIG-desktop-2.0.0-2066-final-lin-x86-standard-withjre.bin
./gvSIG-desktop-2.0.0-2066-final-lin-x86-standard-withjre.bin

Eu não recebo o instalador gráfico, o terminal apenas me pede confirmação e caminho da instalação. O software não funciona corretamente depois e é porque a instalação do terminal não oferece as mesmas opções que a gráfica.

Como posso forçar o instalador gráfico a aparecer?

Estou usando o gerenciador de janelas do Arch Linux e Awesome. Para java eu instalei o jre7-openjdk e o jdk7-openjdk.
