Tentando definir saída HDMI RPi3 em mono com pulseaudio

Estou tentando definir minha saída HDMI PulseAudio em um Raspbian 9.4 em mono porque minha TV tem apenas um alto-falante conectado apenas ao canal esquerdo.

Por padrão (em estéreo), funciona como um charme, mas quando eu defino em um perfil mono com:

$ sudo pactl set-card-profile alsa_card.platform-soc_audio output:analog-mono

não há mais som.
