Acabei de instalar o Debian 9 em um antigo notebook Toshiba e tudo correu bem durante a instalação:

No entanto, após a reinicialização, o sistema mostrou várias mensagens de erro e depois parou em uma tela escura (ainda é possível alternar para consoles via alt-ctrl-f2 ~ f6):
