Estou usando: Debian Sid (kernel 4.15.0-2-amd64)
e posso me conectar perfeitamente à minha rede Wi-Fi usando meu onboard Intel 7265
e iwlwifi
mesmo com sinal fraco (por exemplo, -80dBm).
No entanto, recentemente recebi ALFA AWUS036NHA (Atheros 9271)
e, em momentos aleatórios, não consigo fazer ping no roteador, apesar de ter uma boa qualidade de sinal (-68dBm). Eu tentei tanto o pacote firmware-atheros
debian quanto a alternativa de código aberto , com o mesmo resultado descrito abaixo:

Em momentos aleatórios, a tabela de roteamento se torna

em cujo caso o ping do gateway (192.168.1.1) e qualquer outro IP (por exemplo, 8.8.8.8) trava indefinidamente . No entanto, arp funciona neste caso, mostrando o resto dos dispositivos conectados, e a luz da antena está piscando como esperado.
A diferença está na coluna Gateway ( _gateway
vs speedport-entry
). Não posso observar nenhuma outra peculiaridade quando isso acontece. Mantém o IP, netmask, etc:

SOLUÇÃO :
A solução é 1) desconectar e reconectar, usando o Wicd (já que o Select Network do gnome network carrega indefinidamente), ou 2) esperar (1-5 minutos) e ele será corrigido automaticamente .
