Nós temos um servidor de impressão Debian rodando o CUPS. No CUPS, temos uma fila de impressão Raw configurada que se conecta à nossa impressora em rede via IPP.
Eu também compartilhei esta impressora com nossos usuários do Windows através de um compartilhamento de impressora Samba, usando opções padrão stock smb.conf e o CUPS como back-end.
Ao imprimir diretamente na fila CUPS do Windows usando IPP (por exemplo, link ), a impressora responde rapidamente e imprime quase instantaneamente.
No entanto, ao imprimir na fila de impressão através da impressora compartilhada Samba no Windows, a impressora leva mais de 15 segundos para abrir a janela Propriedades da impressora e o mesmo tempo para imprimir uma página de teste.
Ao tentar deduzir a causa, consegui reproduzir o problema em duas redes completamente separadas com dois servidores e impressoras de impressão diferentes e vários clientes diferentes do Windows, por isso estou confiante de que não é específico das minhas instalações individuais . O uso de endereços IP e nomes de host resulta no mesmo comportamento.
Existem opções ou configurações que precisam ser ajustadas para acelerar a impressão de impressoras compartilhadas Samba?
Estou executando o CUPS 2.2.1 e o Samba 4.5.12. Eu também posso reproduzir o mesmo comportamento em um servidor mais antigo executando o CUPS 1.7.5 e o Samba 4.2.14.
Meu smb.conf segue. Tudo é o padrão do arquivo smb.conf do Debian, exceto pelas 4 primeiras opções sob o título Imprimindo.
