External HDD é extremamente lento no Debian

Montar, listar arquivos, copiar arquivos é excepcionalmente lento. É uma nova unidade de 1 TB, formatada como ext4. Eu não suspeito de nenhum dano físico. A cópia está em 64kB / s. Nenhuma entrada em /etc/fstab . Quando o Nautilus o reconhece, peço para montá-lo (através da GUI).

  1. Verifique dmesg para erros. Não é provável, porque causaria problemas mais sérios, mas você deve verificar.
  2. Você também pode verificar os parâmetros SMART do disco rígido, se estiverem disponíveis no conector USB. Você pode verificar isso com o smartctl --all /dev/sdx . Em distribuições baseadas no Debian, está no pacote smartmontools , então apt-get install smartmontools . Também isso não é provável, mas é possível.
  3. Qual é a causa mais provável: o USB tem 3 sub-padrões: usb1, usb2 e usb3. Somente o usb3 fornece uma taxa de transferência de dados comparável com os hdds dos dias de hoje.

    • Provavelmente, você conectou seu disco a um slot compatível com USB2 (muitos PCs / laptops têm slots compatíveis com USB2 e USB3, por motivos de compatibilidade). Conecte-se a um USB3 ou compre alguma extensão compatível com USB3 (se for possível).
    • É possível que, de alguma forma, a (largura de banda maior) usb3 não possa ser ativada em algum ruído de dados ou cabo defeituoso. E a comunicação entre a sua máquina e o disco rígido está em algum modo de comparação mais baixo e mais lento.
    • Outra possibilidade é que o seu cabo ou o seu HDD simplesmente não suporte USB3. Verifique sua documentação ou a internet, se o fizerem. Outra possibilidade para verificar isso, de uma forma Linux pura: verifique, qual módulo do kernel usb está usando o seu dispositivo. Se for ehci_hcd , então é USB3. No caso de ohci_hcd ou uhci_hcd , é usb1 ou usb2. Você pode obter essas informações com os comandos lspci -v , lsusb e pesquisando um pouco no /sys .

    • Tente um cabo compatível com USB3.

O 64kbit mostra uma velocidade usb1 ou mais baixa. O USB1 é usado nas máquinas atuais apenas para comunicação com mouses e teclados USB.

  • Você não conectou seu disco rígido a um slot USB dedicado para teclado / mouse? Eles suportam principalmente apenas até USB2. É porque existem os mesmos problemas de compatibilidade com versões anteriores entre usb3 e usb1, e muitos teclados / mouses ainda são usb1. E eles não precisam ser muito rápidos.
