Use TL-WN727N no modo AP

Eu comprei o TL-WN727N para usá-lo como o AP porque esta página diz que ele suporta este modo: link . Esqueci de ler as letras miúdas . O driver instalado com o kernel do Linux suporta apenas o modo STA. Existem várias versões desse driver (em github ) modificadas para suportar Modo AP, mas nenhum compilado com o > 4.12 kernel.
Alguém sabe um driver que funciona no modo AP e compila bem com kernels recentes?
