sendmail: o que causa “argumento inválido adiado” e como corrigi-lo?

Eu estava testando um script que eu havia escrito em PHP quando percebi que os e-mails que ele deveria mandar só iam para os endereços locais. Quando entrei no WebMin, vi que a fila do sendmail tinha muitos e-mails (o meu e vários bounces) que tinham o status "Adiar o argumento Inválido".

Independentemente de qual domínio o e-mail estava indo quando eu tentei liberá-lo, eu veria se conectar a x.y.z e, em seguida, "argumento inválido deferido". Isso foi o mesmo para os bounces e para as mensagens que eu coloquei na fila do meu script.

Tenho que assumir que, desde que o servidor foi configurado, nenhum email enviado foi enviado, o que explica algumas coisas.

Como resolver este problema de argumento inválido e obter o sendmail fazendo o que o nome indica?

Atualização:

Depois de pesquisar esse problema, estou mais confuso do que nunca. Este parece defender o uso de flags modificadoras enquanto < href="http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-server-73/sendmail-makeconnection-failed-invalid-argument-895782/"> isso diz para removê-los. Posso confirmar que isso não faz diferença alguma.

Sendmail: Forçando a entrega de mensagens em fila no modo verboso

Como envio de envio raiz das mensagens em fila no modo detalhado com transcrição SMTP completa.

  1. use o mailq para obter o queueid-s (identificadores de fila das mensagens)
  2. use sendmail -v -qI... para enviar a mensagem escolhida no modo detalhado por exemplo. %código%

1) Remova o sinalizador b dos modificadores em DAEMON_OPTONS em sendmail.mc
b bind to interface through which mail has been received for outgoing message

Antigo:

Novo:

2) gere o novo arquivo sendmail.cf a partir do sendmail.mc modificado

3) reiniciar / recarregar o daemon do sendmail
