xorg não detecta o meu AMD Radeon 8600 devido “BIOS ATI inválido da int10, o adaptador não é habilitado para VGA”

Tenho um laptop Dell Inspiron 15r com Intel CoreI7 4500u e um AMD Radeon 8600 HD e recentemente instalei um desktop Debian Jessie Linux com XFCE.
Meu problema é o seguinte: Eu tento instalar o Fglrx AMD Driver, mas quando eu o habilito o XServer não funciona, o log contém a seguinte mensagem:

Por isso, excluo o arquivo xorg.conf gerado pela ferramenta aticonfig para acessar a área de trabalho.

O meu problema é específico de hardware ou software? e é solucionável?

Eu consertei o problema usando o seguinte comando sudo apt-get install fglrx*
E agora eu tenho 2 novos problemas:

  1. aticonfig --adapter=all --initial não detecta minha Intel HD graphcis
  2. Quando eu inicializo meu computador usando o mouse do AMD Courser torna-se invisível (confirmado como um bug no XServer enviado com o teste Debian)
    Também descobri que o método de comutação da AMD entre os gráficos híbridos é uma droga, em vez disso, adicionei a seguinte linha ao arquivo xorg.conf gerado:

    Seção "Dispositivo"     Identificador "aticonfig-Device [0] -1"     Driver "intel"     BusID "PCI: 0: 2: 0" EndSection

E na seção de tela eu uso o identificador anterior para usar meu Intel HD ou identeifier aticonfig-Device[0]-0 para usar meu AMD assim:

Solução simples. Não use drivers binários da AMD, mas opensource xorg-video-ati com o próprio amd-ucode, mesa etc.

Este cartão bastante antigo é bem suportado por drivers de código aberto
