O Amazon EC2 MySQL falhou ao iniciar

Question

Estou tendo problemas ao iniciar o MySQL depois que ele parou de funcionar alguns minutos atrás. Estou recebendo este erro ao tentar se conectar:

Connect failed: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

Então eu tentei reiniciar o MySQL (isso funcionou para mim antes) e eu consegui isso:
