apt-get remove remove pacotes inesperados

Estou confuso sobre por que o apt-get se comporta assim?
Estou tentando desinstalar o vlc por exemplo. Aqui está o que diz que deve ser removido.

Mas não quero que todos sejam removidos?

Além disso, a lista de itens que diz "não são mais necessários". Eu sei que ainda uso alguns desses aplicativos. Alguém mais viu isso?

Estas são provavelmente versões desatualizadas ou programas que você não instalou explicitamente.

Como ele impede que você remova vlc conforme solicitado, nada impede que você instale os que precisa depois. Geralmente é muito seguro dizer yes .
