Mas é mais fácil instalar o xmms a partir de um pacote de arquivos.
Estou usando o Debian Kali Linux 2.0 de 64 bits e estou tentando instalar o xmms player. Eu executei ./configure e recebi o erro de configuração (por favor veja o cabeçalho). Depois de pesquisar na net, vi que libgtk1.2 não é mais suportado, você precisa instalar o libgtk2.0 . Então, eu emiti o seguinte comando
apt-get install libgtk2.0 --fix-missing
Agora eu executei fui ao diretório xmms e executei ./configure , mas ainda recebo a seguinte mensagem

checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.2... no
