O driver da Samsung não detecta corretamente o SANE

A partir do 13.04 (servidor) Estou tentando instalar o Samsung Unified Printer Driver como especificado pelo link que tem um link inativo . De qualquer forma, o driver está na página da Samsung.

Não há como fazer isso funcionar no apt? Para 12.04, não me lembro de fazer isso. Apenas funcionou. No entanto, agora estou executando uma versão de "servidor" (menor download para uma instalação limpa), então estou pensando que está faltando pacotes, e que há um pacote meta para puxar tudo isso. Não me lembro de baixar da Samsung antes.

Na verdade, esta impressora, e que foi "auto-magicamente" detectada pelo Ubuntu, em 11.x, foi um fator na escolha do Ubuntu.
