A pergunta: Por que o kdump.service não pode iniciar? o que estou perdendo?
AFAIK SLES 12 não precisa do pacote kernel-kdump ou estou errado? Se sim, de onde posso obter o pacote kernel-kdump?
Com base no link , a versão do kdump parece OK.

Eu encontrei uma máquina com a mesma versão do kernel, mas o kdump funciona! Mas não consegue encontrar a diferença entre um hospedeiro sadio e um host ruim ..

tentou substituir o initrd, mas não ajudou.

tentou reinstalar o kdump, não ajudou: rpm -e yast2-kdump; rpm -e kdump; zypper no kdump

tentou fazer um "systemctl unmask kdump; systemctl ativar kdump; systemctl restart kdump" e "systemctl daemon-reload", não ajudou.
