Editar: A solução fornecida pela Zsolt Rizsányi funciona, alternativamente eu escolho mudar o meu cartão WiFi por um Intel 8265 que tem um melhor alcance e um melhor suporte da frequência 5G.

Este bug foi reportado na barra de lançamento: link Se você for afetado, informe-os no relatório de erros para que eles possam corrigir o bug o mais rápido possível.
O arquivo firmware-6.bin precisa ser atualizado. O Ubuntu atualmente envia a versão WLAN.RM.4.4-00022-QCARMSWPZ-2 e a correção para esse problema foi lançada na versão WLAN.RM.4.4.1-00051-QCARMSWP-1 , o que significa que você precisa de uma versão posterior à última para que a placa funcione corretamente nos kernels 4.12.
A partir de hoje, esse bug pode ser corrigido simplesmente substituindo os arquivos board-2.bin (não necessários, mas recomendados) e firmware-6.bin pelo que está atualmente no repositório upstream de linux-firmware , ou pegando a firmware-6.bin do repositório do kvalo para a versão apropriada.
Você pode pegar a versão correta do repositório do kvalo, que é garantido que sempre funcionará (se você não precisar do novo board-2.bin também).

Estes comandos abaixo irão automatizar a substituição dos arquivos do que é upstream (note que estes comandos podem funcionar agora, mas não há garantia de que eles funcionarão no futuro, porque o conteúdo do repositório pode mudar, apesar de dificilmente quebrar coisas assim). p>

Em seguida, reinicie.
EDIT: A correção correta para isso é instalar os drivers manualmente e não alterar sua configuração wifi na sua rede. Pelo menos até que os drivers mais recentes sejam incluídos no Ubuntu.
Uma alteração nos roteadores wifi corrigiu isso, não tenho certeza se os APs ou os drivers / kernel Linux são responsáveis por isso.
No OpenWrt / LEDA, opção wpa_group_rekey '0'
Precisa ser adicionado às configurações sem fio "wifi-iface". Não há opção na interface de configuração da web.
ATUALIZAÇÃO: Configurei isso para 3600 e o mesmo problema aconteceu novamente, supondo que haja uma negociação que não ocorra entre o cliente e o WAP. Ainda provavelmente um bug de driver / Linux. Eu configurei isso para 3600 em vez de 0, já que teoricamente é mais seguro, mas não, eu estou assumindo zero significa que ele não regenera uma chave.
Uma correção foi lançada no pacote linux-firmware (versão 1.169.3 in 17.10 e versão 1.157.16 em 16.04) . Abra um terminal (pressione Ctrl + Alt + T ) e execute o seguinte:
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade

Acesse as configurações de segurança do Wi-Fi do seu modem.
Se o Período de atualização da chave do grupo WPA / WPA2 for zero ou desabilitado, você deve alterá-lo.
Defina o período de atualização da chave de grupo WPA / WPA2 como 86400, conforme mostrado na captura de tela.
Salve suas configurações e reinicie seu modem / roteador.
