Não tenho ideia do que está acontecendo, acabei de fazer uma nova instalação do Ubuntu e depois de uma reinicialização o Banshee não será iniciado. Comecei a bisbilhotar os fóruns e depois tentei executá-lo como sudo e com -debug , e ambos conseguiram começar, mas com esse erro

EDITAR: Corri o Banshee de novo regularmente (como recomendado pelos cosmorogers), sem sudo ou -debug e consegui uma leitura diferente:
