vpnc não pode se conectar à VPN devido ao script vpnc

Estou tentando conectar a conexão VPN com o vpnc, mas ele falhou com a mensagem

Error: either "to" is duplicate, or "ipid" is a garbage

De acordo com link eu substitui o script vpnc mas recebi uma nova mensagem de erro:

/etc/vpnc/vpnc-script: 658: Syntax error: end of file unexpected (expecting ";;")

Depois disso, ele inicia o vpnc-connect "em segundo plano", mas nenhum endereço IP é atribuído:

Eu vi que esse bug foi corrigido e relasado apenas para o Ubuntu Precise e eu acho que você deveria marcá-lo como afetando você e pedir uma possível solução para o problema em Oneiric (uma fusão da correção lançada na Oneiric ou outra solução).

Eu tenho a solução para o seguinte erro:

passo 1: veja o que você precisa fazer é, em primeiro lugar, fazer o backup do script vpnc através do comando abaixo:

sudo cp /etc/vpnc/vpnc-script /etc/vpnc/vpnc-script.bck

Passo 2: agora o que você precisa fazer é abrir o script vpnc por qualquer editor que goste de trabalhar com (vi, vim, emacs, gedit).

sudo gedit /etc/vpnc/vpnc-script

e remova o conteúdo dentro dele e copie o conteúdo abaixo:
