Eu encontrei a solução aqui:
vncserver -kill :1
Configurei um servidor tiger-vnc em um host centos 7 em meu laboratório doméstico e recentemente tive uma queda de energia. Tentei conectar-me ao servidor vnc como de costume e recebi uma mensagem de erro "conexão recusada". Eu ssh'd no servidor e tentei reiniciar o daemon e recebi esses erros. Desde já, obrigado! :)
