Instalado o driver FGLRX proprietário da ATI / AMD, mas não está sendo usado pelo gerenciador de janelas. Como faço para ativá-lo?

Eu tenho informações conflitantes sendo dadas a mim, por um lado, o painel "Drivers Adicionais" menciona que o driver proprietário ATI / AMD está instalado, mas o < em> painel "Detalhes" informa-me que o "Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe (LLVM 0x300) " está em uso.

Estou usando o Ubuntu 12.04 beta

Como posso ter certeza de que o driver ATI é usado?

Eu passei por um programa de excluir os drivers fglrx instalados instalados pelo Ubuntu, seguindo estas etapas link para instalar os drivers AMD atualizados.

Isso faz as coisas acontecerem por mim.

Pesquise a string "LoadModule" em /var/log/Xorg.0.log. Você terá que repetir a pesquisa várias vezes até chegar ao que mostra seu driver de vídeo. O que quer que seja exibido neste arquivo é o que está sendo usado.
