Hoje não consigo iniciar o Thunderbird no meu laptop, e da última vez que ele foi executado, ele provavelmente durou tanto tempo que atualizei várias coisas.
Quando tento iniciar o thunderbird, recebo o seguinte no console:

Tudo que eu encontrei pesquisando na net é bem antigo, e envolve diretórios / comandos que eu não consigo encontrar (em alguns casos, provavelmente porque estava falando sobre outras distros) ou simplesmente não funcionou.
O Firefox roda bem (escrevendo isso no firefox), mas em uma tentativa de ler meu e-mail, eu tentei iniciar o evince, e isso diz o mesmo (com um pid diferente) e depois:
GLib-GIO-ERROR **: No GSettings schemas are installed on the system
Isto está em um Debian Stretch 9.4.
Alguém pode lançar alguma luz sobre o que está acontecendo, e esperançosamente me ajudar a fazer o Thunderbird rodar novamente?
Adicionado: Eu mudei algumas configurações que exigiam uma reinicialização, e acidentalmente inicializei o antigo kernel 4.9 que eu tinha (por exemplo, eu tinha 4.14 de backports antes, talvez não tenha inicializado aquele) e descobri que o thunderbird realmente funciona naquele kernel .
