Não é possível inicializar: Sistema operacional ausente

Eu tinha instalado o Ubuntu 11.10 junto com o outro Ubuntu 11.10 que já estava instalado no meu netbook. Mais tarde eu formatei a partição que eu instalei recentemente. Na próxima vez que eu inicializá-lo, fui ao menu Grub Rescue. Eu inicializo meu sistema novamente com o pendrive do Ubuntu, Então eu instalei o pacote de reparo do Boot em USB e restaurei o MBR e o menu GRUB no disco rígido. Agora, quando estou reiniciando, recebo uma mensagem "Sistema operacional ausente". pressione qualquer tecla para continuar. Alguém pode me ajudar nisso?

Seu arquivo Grub parece ok. Eu sugiro instalar o Grub2 manualmente novamente. Primeiro, inicie o Ubuntu a partir do stick USB e não monte o seu Ubuntu instalado. Abra um terminal e aplique esses comandos:

sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt
sudo mount --bind /dev /mnt/dev
sudo mount --bind /dev/pts  /mnt/dev/pts
sudo mount --bind /proc /mnt/proc
sudo mount --bind /sys  /mnt/sys
sudo chroot /mnt
grub-install --force /dev/sda

Você pode verificar se está tudo bem ou não com:

grub-install --recheck --force /dev/sda

Se tudo estiver certo, desmonte todas as coisas e saia:

exit
sudo umount /mnt/dev/pts
sudo umount /mnt/dev
sudo umount /mnt/proc
sudo umount /mnt/sys
sudo umount /mnt
sudo reboot

Você precisa garantir a remoção do dispositivo USB ao reiniciar depois de concluir a nova instalação.

Desligue o laptop, remova o pen drive e tente reiniciar novamente.
