A webcam integrada do Debian não está sendo detectada

Estou executando o Debian GNU / Linux 8 (jessie) de 64 bits com o kernel 3.16.0-4-amd64 em um Dell Inspiron 15, e não consigo ativar a webcam integrada.

lsusb não mostra a webcam:

rama@whitehawk:~$ lsusb
Bus 003 Device 005: ID 0bda:0129 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTS5129 Card Reader Controller
Bus 003 Device 004: ID 8087:07dc Intel Corp.

Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
O módulo

Uvcvideo está carregado:

rama@whitehawk:~$ lsmod | grep uvcvideo
uvcvideo 79005 0
videobuf2_vmalloc 12816 1 uvcvideo
videobuf2_core 47787 1 uvcvideo
videodev 126451 3 uvcvideo,v4l2_common,videobuf2_core
media 18305 2 uvcvideo,videodev
usbcore 195468 7 btusb,uvcvideo,rtsx_usb,ehci_hcd,ehci_pci,usbhid,xhci_hcd

E dmseg diz:

rama@whitehawk:~$ dmesg |grep video
[ 5.979210] Linux video capture interface: v2.00
[ 6.161656] usbcore: registered new interface driver uvcvideo

Mas Cheese / Skype não reconhece a webcam. Alguma idéia?
