Montando o cartão SD no Linux Mint = “mount: o dispositivo especial não existe”

Tentando montar um cartão SD conectado por meio de um leitor de cartão SD USB.

O dmesg mostra que o dispositivo USB está conectado e o cartão é detectado

O fdisk mostra que está conectado, apesar de reclamar de algum argumento inválido:

Ao tentar montar, recebo a mensagem "dispositivo especial não existe":

$ sudo mount /dev/sdb2 /mnt -v

Trying ext3

A partição estendida sdb2 contém partições 5 e superiores. Portanto, tente montar as outras partições em seu lugar (sdb1 e sdb5, se rotulado corretamente, são FAT / msdos, sdb6 e sdb7 são linux, possivelmente ext3 / 4).
