O grub (debian) não será iniciado no modo AHCI

Question

Eu estava rodando meu Debian (laptop Acer) por um bom tempo sem muita dificuldade. No entanto, quando comecei recentemente, recebi a mensagem:

No bootable device - insert boot disk and press any key

Funciona com o live cd (xubuntu) e o disco rígido é visível (eu consegui fazer um pequeno backup a partir do live cd).
Depois de pesquisar na Internet, mudei no modo BIOS AHCI para o modo IDE - e funciona, mas o desempenho é muito menor e, às vezes, quando tenho o navegador aberto e arquivos sendo copiados, estou recebendo erros de entrada / saída e preciso fazer o hard reset.
Pode ser danificado HDD ou é mais como problema do sistema?

Normalmente, os CDs ao vivo funcionam melhor, pois não usam todas as funcionalidades da máquina, são pacotes mais auto-suficientes.

inicie desligando o acpi com um parâmetro de tempo de inicialização e, em seguida, verifique o seu dsdt.
