Linux mint 17.3 sem saída de som HDMI

Question

Bem, tentei de tudo: alsa, alsa-utils, alsamixer, pulseaudio, puvecontrol e muito mais. Mesmo eu mudei do ubuntu para o Linux mint, mas não consigo obter som de HDMI (laptop conectado à tv led). Eu tenho um pc desktop com linux mint conectado a uma tv led com o mesmo cabo HDMI e funciona. Eu estou tentando fazer o trabalho para um laptop Asus X555LA-XX688H. A opção HDMI não aparece nas configurações de som nem nas configurações do pavucontrol.

Eu também tentei com o oem-audio-hda-daily . Mas eu tenho e outro problema: não consigo ver opção de drivers adicionais no Linux mint 17.3. Apenas origens de software.

Eu consertei a atualização da versão do kernel. 3.18.29 funcionou para mim.
