Como isso é possível? Eu estou usando o Toggl Desktop, canal estável, no KDE, e cerca de 50% do tempo, depois que eu faço
xrandr --output DP1 --auto --primary --output eDP1 --off
O Toggl Desktop trava logo em seguida, e reduz todo o KDE e o servidor Xorg com ele. Mesmo que o Toggl Desktop tenha caído sem derrubar todo o ambiente de área de trabalho, às vezes, eu não percebi que o Toggl Desktop estava causando o problema até agora, quando eu cliquei nele e então ele derrubou a área de trabalho.
/var/log/Xorg.0.log.old mostra um desligamento aparentemente normal (sem segfault no próprio servidor X).

Eu tentei diagnosticar esse problema, anexando ao ksmserver do gdb no tty2, mas infelizmente, essa configuração de alguma forma conseguiu travar todos os ttys além do tty1 quando o ksmserver morreu!
No entanto, descobri que a causa dos aplicativos com problemas parece ser esse bug , que será ser corrigido na próxima versão do Qt.
