Como posso instalar o LibreOffice Base?

Informações úteis:

• Eu tentei executar sudo dpkg --configure -a e sudo apt-get install -f sem resultado.
• Estou executando o Kubuntu 11.10 (o atualizador não é muito confiável para ser confiável na execução de uma atualização de versão)
• O restante do LibreOffice parece funcionar bem (além de um bug irritante em que as dicas de ferramentas são mostradas como texto preto em fundo preto ...)

Eu preciso usar o LibreOffice Base para preencher um documento de mala direta. No entanto, notei que não está instalado. Quando vou instalá-lo no entanto ...

Fico perplexo quanto aos pacotes que parece achar que tenho. Até onde eu sei, o Kubuntu não dá a você a opção de manter pacotes ... Então, como eu saio dessa dependência?

Para instalar o LibreOffice Base, use o Ubuntu Software Center. Funciona sem problemas. (Se o Ubuntu Software Center não estiver instalado, use o Synaptic ou o Muon para obtê-lo.)

É muito fácil instalar o LibreOffice manualmente no Ubuntu. Existem pacotes deb tgz ( x86_64 ou x86 ). Para instalá-los, basta descompactar e emitir dpkg -i *.deb no DEBS subdirectoy (os pacotes de instalação têm outro subdirectoy, "desktop-integration" - tome cuidado para instalar o deb a partir dali, também).
