Problemas de inicialização dupla com o Windows 7 e o Ubuntu

Estou me encontrando em uma situação bastante singular. Eu li através de quase todos os recursos que posso encontrar sobre isso e enquanto as coisas me ajudaram a entender um pouco de fundo, eu ainda não consegui encontrar uma solução. Então estou perguntando aqui.

Originalmente, eu tinha apenas uma instalação do sistema operacional Windows 7 de 64 bits em minha área de trabalho. Aprendendo que eu não poderia fazer nada com Apache, PHP e MySql de dentro de um sistema de 64 bits, eu fiz algumas pesquisas e descobri que eu poderia usar o Ubuntu. Eu instalei a versão mais recente: 11.04.

Eu criei um CD para instalar o Ubuntu e a instalação correu bem. Eu instalei-o lado a lado com o Windows 7. Eu posso inicializar no Ubuntu muito bem através da opção de dual-boot.

Quando eu reinicio para carregar o Windows, a lista do Grub2 mostra o Windows 7 (carregador) e quando eu seleciono essa opção, a Recuperação do Sistema do Windows é carregada em vez do SO atual. Eu não passei por lá porque não sabia o que fazer. Acabei de desligar o computador e reiniciei no Ubuntu. Eu tenho trabalhado durante a última hora e meia para tentar descobrir como inicializar no sistema operacional Windows 7 e eu não tenho a menor idéia.

Embora eu seja um pouco proficiente com o Windows 7, sou totalmente novo no Ubuntu, portanto, se você sabe o que precisa acontecer, mantenha-o simples o suficiente para que eu seja capaz de entender. Obrigado por toda sua ajuda antecipadamente.

O instalador do Ubuntu provavelmente autodetected uma partição de recuperação e configurar o GRUB (o bootloader) para arrancar para que, em vez da partição adequada do Windows.

Primeiro, tente fazer sudo os-prober; sudo update-grub e ver se isso não coloca as entradas corretas no GRUB para você. Se isso não acontecer, você precisará editar sua configuração do GRUB para apontar para a partição correta.

Primeiramente, queremos descobrir em qual partição sua instalação do Windows está ativada. Do sudo fdisk -l (não se preocupe, esta é uma operação segura; apenas lista seus discos e partições) e você deve ver uma lista de entradas de partição formatadas um pouco como:

/dev/sda3 * 1 6374 51199123+ 7 HPFS/NTFS

Observe o caminho do dispositivo de qualquer partição que seja do tipo "HPFS / NTFS" ou "MS-DOS" ou algo parecido. O que você provavelmente verá é uma pequena partição NTFS no início do disco e uma partição NTFS maior em outro lugar. A menor é sua partição de recuperação e a maior é a sua instância do Windows. Anote o caminho do dispositivo do maior.

Agora, precisamos conhecer o UUID desse sistema de arquivos, que forneceremos ao GRUB para ajudá-lo a encontrá-lo. Diga sudo blkid e encontre a entrada correspondente à partição que você anotou acima. Anote o valor entre aspas após UUID= .

Agora, use o editor de sua escolha para abrir /etc/grub.d/40_custom . sudo nano -w /etc/grub.d/40_custom vai fazer bem. No final deste arquivo, adicione algo como o seguinte:

Duas coisas precisam ser substituídas aqui. Onde eu escrevi UUID-GOES-HERE substitua o UUID que você anotou acima (sem as aspas). Onde escrevi msdos1 substitute 1 com o número da partição que você anotou antes ( sda6 seria msdos6 etc.).

Salve este arquivo e faça sudo update-grub e, em seguida, reinicialize. Tente sua nova entrada no menu. Deve funcionar.

Eu tive o mesmo problema. Eu tinha o Windows 7 no meu laptop e decidi experimentar o Ubuntu também. Então criei uma nova partição, aloquei 15 gigabytes do meu disco rígido e instalei o Ubuntu na nova partição. Tudo correu bem, o assistente de instalação reinicializou o sistema e o GRUB carregou o Ubuntu e o Windows 7 em seu menu.

Eu poderia carregar no Windows 7, mas quando escolhi o Ubuntu, tudo que consegui foi uma tela preta. Eu procurei na web e tentei quase tudo o que consegui, mas o problema permaneceu. Então decidi formatar a partição do Ubuntu e reinstalar o Ubuntu. Durante minha busca por uma solução, notei que é importante instalar o GRUB.

Originalmente eu tinha escolhido instalar o GRUB na mesma partição que o Ubuntu seria instalado (sda8 no meu caso) e esse era o problema. Ao instalar o GRUB, é importante especificar um disco rígido (e não uma partição) para o GRUB ser instalado. Especificar uma partição pode causar problemas.

Então, desta vez eu escolhi 'sda' para o GRUB ser instalado e instalar o Ubuntu em 'sda8' e foi isso. O problema foi resolvido e agora eu tenho tanto o Windows 7 e Ubuntu 12.04 no meu laptop funcionando sem problemas.
