“Este dispositivo não está funcionando” - Problemas de Wi-Fi

Question

Quando tento habilitar meus drivers Broadcom na seção Drivers Adicionais do meu Macbook Air 2013, não consigo terminar de ativá-los porque ele diz "este dispositivo não está funcionando".

Eu não tenho nenhuma opção para usar um cabo ethernet, modem USB ou qualquer coisa do tipo. Preciso de ajuda para tentar usar a internet sem fio, e se eu não puder usar o WiFi, o Ubuntu será inútil para mim.

Como corrijo isso?

Se você tiver a instalação USB ou DVD, insira-a e faça drill down para: pool/restricted/b/bcmwl e arraste bcmwl-kernel-source para sua área de trabalho. Faça o mesmo com pool/main/d/dkms e arraste dkms para sua área de trabalho. Então instale:

cd ~/Desktop
sudo dpkg -i dkms*.deb
sudo dpkg -i bcmwl*.deb
sudo modprobe wl

Seu wireless agora deve estar funcionando.
