Recentemente eu criei meu próprio desktop e decidi instalar como primeiro SO Windows 8 (por que eu fiz isso ...) como sempre eu tenho os dois, Ubuntu e Windows, eu acho que instalar o Windows primeiro seria melhor checar se minha placa de vídeo estava funcionando corretamente, pois os drivers funcionam melhor no Windows.
Problema
O problema é que quando eu instalei o Ubuntu depois de reiniciar o PC eu não serei solicitado a escolher um SO, ele simplesmente inicia o Windows 8. Então eu li sobre a instalação do Windows 8 e descobri que ele usa o UEFI como uma partição criada pelo Windows que é EFI.
Então eu tentei instalar o Ubuntu EFI apesar de ter a mesma situação. Depois disso, fiz uma última tentativa de fazer as coisas manualmente, selecionando a partição que o Windows criou como partição EFI, embora a instalação não pudesse prosseguir porque não identificou a partição EFI como uma partição EFI.
O que eu quero
Gostaria de saber se excluo a partição que o Windows criou como EFI e deixo que o Ubuntu crie sua própria EFI no local em que as coisas funcionem?
Mas se isso não for possível eu não quero mais o Windows 8 no meu PC, eu vou ficar com 7 e Ubuntu, mas como eu não sei muito sobre o material da UEFI eu estou querendo saber se eu apenas fazer uma partição de backup para meus arquivos importantes no sistema NTFS e excluir todo o resto e depois instalar o Ubuntu e depois do Windows 7 ele vai funcionar.
Porque eu não sei se as configurações do Windows 8 para o UEFI BIOS permanecerão depois de excluí-lo do HDD e isso me impedirá de instalar outros sistemas operacionais e, então, não terei nenhum computador.
Além disso, gostaria de ter o Ubuntu e o Windows 7 instalados como sistemas EFI, se possível, até onde eu saiba que melhora a segurança (corrija-me se estiver errado) e a minha motherboard não suporta Secure Boot. opção sobre isso na BIOS e eu corri o comando Confirm-SecureBootUEFI
no Windows que retornou que o meu sistema não suporta inicialização segura.
