Problema ao executar o Ubiquity quando compilado da origem

Eu escrevi um patch para o Ubiquity que eu estou tentando testar. Eu modifiquei a fonte Ubiquity e execute com sucesso ./configure , make e sudo make install , mas estou com problemas para executá-la. Quando eu digito ubiquity no terminal, sou solicitado a instalá-lo a partir dos repositórios. Eu pesquisei o diretório /etc/ubiquity , mas tudo o que existe é um arquivo de log gerado durante a instalação.

Como devo colocar a Ubiquity em funcionamento? A saída de sudo make install está anexada abaixo.

Em geral, eu não recomendaria a instalação de um pacote do Ubuntu usando o make / make install.

O conselho geral seria fazer o seguinte:

apt-get source ubiquity
cd ubiquity-*
debuild # this will take a long time
sudo dpkg -i ../ubiquity*.deb ../ubiquity-ubuntu-artwork*.deb ../ubiquity-frontend-gtk*.deb

Você está instalando a ubiquidade no lugar errado, espera-se que ela seja instalada em / usr, muitos scripts de configuração de origem usam / usr / local para impedir que você instale em uma versão empacotada existente. Você deve conseguir usar a onipresença com:

/usr/local/bin/ubiquity 

Ainda existem alguns aplicativos que precisam ser instalados em / usr, se for esse o caso, então você deve construir onipresença com

./configure --prefix=/usr
