Erro de sintaxe de Bash próximo ao token inesperado ao tentar exportar

Estou tentando adicionar essas linhas a ~/.bashrc (anteriormente intocado):

export NVM_DIR="/home/julian/.nvm"

Mas estou recebendo o seguinte erro:

Por que esse erro está aparecendo? Eu estou copiando essas linhas como elas estão nos docs de nvm e virtualenvwrapper. Como isso pode ser corrigido? Obrigado.

Foi resolvido adicionando um esac em uma linha antes das novas linhas e depois da última ;; , como disse @muru. Obrigado.
