redshift - Nenhum método de ajuste 'randr'

Eu instalei o redshift 1.10 e criei seu arquivo de configuração em

~/.config/redshift.conf

como mostrado no link , mas quando eu executo redshift eu recebo um:

No adjustment method 'randr'

Por isso, listo os métodos com:

redshift -m list

e dummy é o único método listado.

Então, como eu instalo ou configuro os outros métodos de ajuste?

Primeiro você tem que baixar a versão .zip do redshift de:

link

Então você precisa instalar as dependências:

autotools, gettext
intltool, libtool
libdrm (Optional, for DRM support)
libxcb, libxcb-randr (Optional, for RandR support)
libX11, libXxf86vm (Optional, for VidMode support)
geoclue (Optional, for geoclue support)
python3, pygobject, pyxdg (Optional, for GUI support)
appindicator (Optional, for Ubuntu-style GUI status icon)

E agora você faz a instalação:

    sudo apt-get install build-essential libxcb-randr0-dev
   ./bootstrap
   ./configure --enable-randr --prefix=$HOME/redshift/root \
       --with-systemduserunitdir=$HOME/.config/systemd/user
    make
    make install

e agora:

$HOME/redshift/root/bin/redshift-gtk

Eu tenho problema semelhante. Eu tinha o Ubuntu 14.04 e o driver nVidia Geforce 310M. redshift funcionou bem. Ontem eu removi totalmente e instalei um novo Ubuntu 14.04.1 e o driver de placa gráfica recomendado pelo Ubuntu. Agora o redshift não funciona. Eu tentei muitas coisas. A única solução trabalhada (não para redshift) é:

xrandr --current --output LVDS-0 --gamma 0.1:1.0:1.0

que altera a cor de exibição.
