Resolvendo o erro de atualização do Ubuntu 12.04: (-5 - Nenhum endereço associado ao hostname)

Sempre que tento baixar as atualizações do meu sistema operacional (Ubuntu 12.04), recebo a seguinte lista de mensagens de erro:

A solução para este problema é a seguinte:

Passo 1: Vá para Sistema - > Preferências - > Conexões de rede.

Etapa 2: em seguida, selecione sua interface de rede padrão (eth0) e clique em "Editar".

Etapa 3: Em seguida, selecione "Configurações IPv4" e escolha "Somente endereços automáticos (DHCP)".

Etapa 4: Em seguida, insira os novos endereços dos servidores DNS na caixa "Servidores DNS". Use vírgulas para separar vários endereços e clique em "Aplicar" para salvar.

Etapa 5: Escolha seus detalhes de DNS preferidos

OpenDNS           --->  208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220              
Google Public DNS --->  8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4                 
Comodo Secure DNS --->  156.154.70.22, 156.154.71.22

Após a configuração, verifique se está funcionando on-line.

Eu tive esse mesmo problema e nenhuma das respostas acima corrigiu isso. Eu tenho isso corrigido agora no entanto. Acontece que tudo que eu precisava era entrar no terminal e digitar sudo apt-get update . Depois que ele terminou de funcionar, meu gerenciador de atualização atualizou, me deu uma nova lista de itens para atualizar e então eu cliquei em update e tudo correu bem. Não sei se isso ajudará qualquer outra pessoa, mas espero que isso aconteça.

Solução:

Método de linha de comando

1. Remova o repositório medibuntu do diretório /etc/apt/sources.list.d : sudo rm /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list*
2. Executar sudo apt-get update
3. (opcional) Se você ainda vir erros depois disso, execute grep -lir medibuntu /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ | xargs sudo rm e tente executar a etapa 2 novamente.

Método GUI

1. Abra Gerenciador de Pacotes Synaptic (Pressione Super / Winkey e digite Synaptic Package Manager e clique no primeiro resultado do aplicativo que aparece com o nome Synaptic Package Manager )
2. No menu do aplicativo, selecione Settings - > %código%
3. Selecione a guia Repositories , role para baixo e desmarque ou remova todas as entradas de Other Software (ver captura de tela)
   
   
4. Clique em packages.medibuntu.org
5. Clique no botão Close no Gerenciador de Pacotes Synaptic (executa Reload nos bastidores)
