Tp-Link WN821N (2357: 0107) não funciona

Eu segui as instruções nesse post, mas meu dongle parece não funcionar: O Tp-Link WN821N (2357: 0107) não funciona com o Ubuntu 16.04

Depois de instalar o driver RTL8192EU, ele finalmente detecta o dongle e mostra algumas informações ao digitar iwconfig no console (veja abaixo). mas mesmo assim, o dongle não está aparecendo em nenhum outro lugar e eu não posso procurar por redes sem fio.

Alguém tem uma ideia do que eu fiz de errado? O TP-Link WN821N não é compatível com o Linux?

Ok, finalmente encontrei a solução no Fórum Kali-Linux e também funciona no Ubuntu.

O que eu fiz primeiro foi desinstalar o driver e fazer o download daquele: link , mas na verdade eu fiz não confira se é o mesmo ... então tenho certeza que teria funcionado com o seu motorista também.

De qualquer forma a solução final foi colocar a lista negra no Driver CU !!

Portanto, para todos com o mesmo problema, faça o seguinte:

1. Download the rtl8192eu driver from the above link or from pilot's repo
2. Install it with make and sudo make install
3. Blacklist the rtl8192cu driver
   in terminal type: sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf
   add a new line with that --> blacklist rtl8192cu
   save the file
4. Reboot and AFTERWARDS plug your dongle in
5. The post in kali-linux's forum said, that for that guy it hadn't worked on the first try. In that case he suggested just to repeat the installation several times.
