sudo apt-get install --reinstall mysql-client-core-5.5
Isso instalará o pacote novamente.
(No Ubuntu 12.04) A seguinte saída de terminal é praticamente autoexplicativa:

Eu tentei apt-get purge
, apt-get autoclean
... mas nada. O binário não está em usr / bin. Como eu resolvo isso?
Tente
sudo apt-get install --reinstall mysql-client-core-5.5
Isso instalará o pacote novamente.
