Dell E6500 wireless não funciona após nova instalação do Ubuntu 12.04

Eu fiz uma nova instalação do Ubuntu 12.04. Após a instalação, o wireless não está funcionando. Em raro do caso raro, mostra algum tempo a rede sem fio disponível com freqüência muito baixa. Isso acontece quando eu mantenho meu laptop e meu modo muito próximo a ele. Eu verifiquei que ele está funcionando bem com o Windows XP (um laptop diferente comigo).

Por favor me ajude estou muito frustrado com este novo lançamento e está lutando pela resolução desde a última semana.

Abaixo está a lista de códigos que eu executei no terminal depois da ajuda do google.com. Isso pode ser útil para resolver meu problema.

Fácil fazer isso no terminal, vai funcionar: 

sudo apt-get install linux-firmware-nonfree
sudo modprobe -r b43
sudo modprobe b43

Voila, funciona.
