Por que minha instalação do 16.04 fica congelada aleatoriamente?

Minha instalação ficou boa até alguns dias atrás, quando uma atualização fez as coisas acontecerem. Eu pensei que era o novo kernel que ele instalou, mas voltar para o 4.10.0-28-generic resultou na mesma coisa. Estou executando o 16.04 LTS em um Dell Latitude E6410 com 8 gb de ram e nvidia 3100m sob os drivers de código aberto. link esse é o meu arquivo syslog. Por volta das 23:11 e 23:24 é onde eu vejo algumas coisas estranhas. O sistema trava às 23:27 conforme minhas anotações. Quando ele trava, é totalmente indiferente. Teclado e mouse não funcionam e não há atividade de HDD na luz. Eu tenho 2 outros arquivos de log link Rolando da parte inferior você pode dizer o que é da reinicialização e o que está correto antes do congelamento . As coisas correram azedas após a instalação do 4.13.0-26-generic. Na época eu estava usando drivers NVIDIA. Mas eu tive que tira-los e ir para o padrão. Então, decidi colocar na lista negra os módulos listados ao executar lsmod | grep vbox inserindo-os em /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-firewire.conf de acordo com link

Escusado será dizer que eu não tive mais congelamentos. Foi executado por algumas horas com tail -f /var/log/syslog em execução sem nenhum dos erros anteriores aparecendo.

Parece haver um problema com o Virtual Box 5.2.6 e com o driver iwlwifi. Eu não acho que isso tenha muito a ver com o kernel 4.13.0-26-generic, já que tive o mesmo problema quando inicializei na versão anterior do kernel. 4,4 e 4,10

link é um artigo interessante que me ajuda a entender o que o "Tainted" significava.
