Loop de logon após ativar a Intel Virtualization no BIOS

Question

Depois de ativar a tecnologia de virtualização da Intel e o VT-x na BIOS do meu Lenovo x230 (eu precisei dele para o Virtual Box), o Ubuntu (14.04) será iniciado normalmente até que a tela de logon apareça. Quando eu digito a senha da minha conta ou tento fazer o login como convidado, a tela fica preta por um segundo (como normalmente ao iniciar), mas, nesse caso, a tela de login será exibida novamente.

Primeiro, tentei desativar a virtualização, mas o problema continua. Depois eu segui todos os posts possíveis como este mas nada mudou .

Eu reinstalei o Compiz, o Xorg, o lightDM e o Unity. nada mudou
Quando tento reinstalar o Ubuntu-Desktop, recebo esta mensagem

depois de tentar realmente tudo, eu encontrei este post , isso me deu a ideia de reiniciar com um Kernel antigo (lembrei que um ou dois dias antes do sistema ter atualizado o kernel)

Também removi o instalador de gráficos do Intel Linux

sudo apt-get autoremove --purge intel-linux-graphics-installer

Eu estava usando o kernel 3.13.0.65-generic com um loop de login depois de ativar a Intel Virtualization, mas ela não estava mais funcionando depois, mesmo desativando a virtualização da Intel no BIOS

Agora eu uso o kernel 3.13.0.63-generic sem problemas de login em ambos os casos, com ou sem virtualização da Intel.

Vou usar o kernel antigo até poder saltar o 3.13.0.65 para o próximo.

Depois de resolver os problemas, tentei instalar o Intel Linux Graphics novamente, mas não foi possível. Mostra um erro

wrong distribution

Eu assumo que o motorista fazia parte do problema.
