Comprei recentemente um disco rígido externo usb Verbatim 1TB e tentei instalar um novo Ubuntu 14.04 de 64 bits. Eu também tenho no meu laptop um HDD interno 320GB com o meu Windows 7. Todo o processo de instalação correu bem, eu criei 3 partições no meu drive externo: ext4 e swap para o Ubuntu e NTFS para os dados. Eu coloquei o Ubuntu no primeiro. O problema aparece quando tento inicializar o sistema. Eu posso ver o menu do GRUB com o Ubuntu e o Windows 7 listados, mas nenhuma entrada funciona. Quando eu destacar qualquer um deles, pressione Enter menu GRUB desaparece, a tela fica violeta e nada acontece. Não importa se eu escolho o Ubuntu ou o Windows 7, o sistema não inicializa.
