Eu tenho um laptop Lenovo T540p com o Ubuntu 14.04. Eu tenho usado por cerca de 2 semanas e ele congelou 4 vezes (3 vezes com telas escuras e 1 vez com a mesma tela que eu estava trabalhando) Após a reinicialização, consegui encontrar alguns erros no arquivo kern.log (consegui encontrá-lo na última vez).

Alguém pode me sugerir qual pode ser o problema? Problema de hardware ou um problema de software?

Eu tive exatamente o mesmo problema com o meu T540p no Ubuntu 14.04 nos últimos dois meses e foi uma semana que eu (manualmente) atualizei o kernel para (o oficial) 4.1.3 e, eventualmente, o problema desapareceu. Anteriormente, eu estava usando o 3.19.x. Acho que é porque os novos núcleos (versão > versão 4.0.0) têm melhor suporte para as placas wireless Realtek!
