14.04.1 installer O Ubiquity trava após tentativa de instalação no probook 6545b

Eu tenho uma imagem de 14.04.1 em um pen drive que tentei instalar em um antigo probook 6545b da HP. Ele inicializa e corre bem, no entanto, ao clicar no botão de instalação, nada acontece. Além disso, ao tentar instalar diretamente a partir do menu Iniciar, ele não é instalado, mas inicia novamente o sistema de vida após exibir algum erro por cerca de um microssegundo.

Eu encontrei uma questão semelhante aqui / a>, no entanto, que parece estar ligado ao upowerd que não vejo no log de depuração.
