Como posso configurar um papel de parede de rolagem lateral?

Eu quero que meu papel de parede seja um rolo lateral de Ilha de Super Mario World Yoshi 1 . Uma vez que o papel de parede rolou todo o caminho, iria voltar ao início.

Existe um programa, ou XML, que faria isso para mim? Estou usando o GNOME Shell.

A transição e a duração foram feitas como opcionais e com valores padrão. A opção -s também é adicionada para o dimensionamento de papéis de parede (o mesmo que as opções Tile, Scale, Stretch em System Settings).

Assim como eu disse nos comentários, você teria que reduzir a imagem em partes de tamanho uniforme ou sobrepostas e criar uma apresentação de slides para ela. Eu não sei a licença daquela imagem específica que você quer, então vou deixar que você a corte ( Dica ).

No entanto, aqui está um script de gerador de papel de parede animado que eu escrevi. O uso é muito simples. Conforme mostrado pela opção -h :

usage: xml_wallpaper_maker.py [-h] -d DIRECTORY -t TRANSITION -l LENGTH [-o]

optional arguments:
  -h, --help            show this help message and exit
  -d DIRECTORY, --directory DIRECTORY
                        Directory where images stored
  -t TRANSITION, --transition TRANSITION
                        transition time in seconds
  -l LENGTH, --length LENGTH
                        Time length in seconds per image
  -o, --overlay         Enables use of overlay transition

Exemplo:

./xml_wallpaper_maker.py -d Pictures/My_SideScroller_Images/ -t 5 -l 10
