Estou tentando instalar o Ubuntu no meu laptop HP (série 15) usando o ubuntu-14.04.4-desktop-amd64.iso em um USB ativo.
Eu criei o Live USB usando o utilitário Unetbootin.
Eu inicializo meu laptop usando o live usb. Dá-me as opções para experimentar o Ubuntu ou instalá-lo. Eu seleciono Instalando.
Em seguida, há tela inicial do Ubuntu, que permanece por um tempo. Depois disso, um ambiente de área de trabalho é aberto com um pop-up informando que a instalação encontrou um erro e agora mudará para um ambiente de área de trabalho em que esse problema pode ser depurado.
Eu verifiquei a soma de verificação do iso, de modo que parece bem.
Qualquer ajuda para resolver isso seria muito legal.

Parece que a Ubiquity teve algum problema com o UPower! Eu estou colando o despejo abaixo: -
