Por que o Ubuntu reconhece apenas quatro processadores?

Eu tenho o Ubuntu 14.04 e o Windows 7 em inicialização dupla.
Meu processador é o processador Intel (R) Core (TM) i7-4770K a 3.50GHz.

O problema é que o ubuntu detecta apenas 4 núcleos, mas eles devem ser 8 !!

É um problema conhecido? Eu perdi alguma configuração?

Eu acho a solução!
Eu usei Boot Repair para definir acpi=off ao carregar o kernel.
Com apci=off o Ubuntu não conseguiu detectar todos os 8 núcleos.

Eu removi acpi=off das opções do kernel e tudo funciona bem:)

Existem apenas quatro núcleos, mas eles são hyperthreaded, então devem aparecer como 8 núcleos em coisas como o uso da cpu do monitor do sistema.

Verifique suas configurações de UEFI (também conhecidas como BIOS) para obter opções para usar apenas um thread por núcleo. Seu lscpu deve mostrar dois threads por núcleo, e o monitor do sistema deve representar graficamente 8 processadores.
